Selston High School Celebrates 9-1 GCSE Exam Results
Students and staff at Selston High School in Nottinghamshire are celebrating after successfully implementing the more challenging GCSE qualifications.
Overall, the academies’ students, part of the Two Counties Trust, achieved 29 Grade 9s (the top grade and equivalent to a very high A* under the old system). One of the top performers was Keava McVitty, who achieved a full set of nine Grade 9s (in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, French, Spanish and Geography) as well as an old-style A* in Statistics.
Headteacher Paul Halcro said: “Keava’s results reflect the commitment he has shown to his studies over the past few years and are typical of all our students here. They have proved that with hard work, talent, effort, and the support of parents and staff, all students can fulfil their potential.”
