The Manor Academy

The Manor Academy joined The Two Counties Trust in September 2016 and are one of our academies that welcomes both secondary and post-16 students. Located in Nottinghamshire, this open, forward thinking, innovative academy offers state-of-the-art facilities, high standards of education, a trailblazing curriculum and an upbeat learning environment for all students.

The Manor Academy’s partnerships with specialist organisations and schools gives the students countless opportunities for unique, life-enhancing experiences. They hold a special partnership with The Royal Ballet School, giving students access to workshops and classes led by specially trained ballet teachers. They also have international links with Jin Cai High School in Shanghai where all students have the opportunity of a once-in-a-lifetime trip to China and to learn Mandarin.

The facilities at The Manor Academy are second to none; we have our own sports centre, a full-sized all-weather sports pitch, an outstanding cafe offering hot and cold foods, a construction centre and engineering workshop, a hair and beauty training salon, advanced ICT facilities and a comprehensive library. Over recent years the school has invested a considerable amount of money in the technology at The Manor Academy and now have a state of the art Wi-Fi network that benefits both staff and students and frees them from just using the class room. The school also provide all their pupils with their own iPads which allows for fun and revolutionary learning during the school day and assists at home for students to complete their homework.

Manor College students enjoy their own dedicated facility and have access to study, computer and social areas, as well as having full access to the facilities of the Manor Academy. The College’s principal aim is to support all post-16 students to achieve their best possible academic results and to facilitate their progress into future employment, apprenticeships or Higher Education. They offer a variety of courses from traditional A Levels to BTEC Vocational qualifications. The subjects are all taught by dedicated specialists, who are passionate about their teaching and strive to provide all the students with a first-class education.
