Heritage High School joined The Two Counties Trust in April 2017 and offers secondary education to students aged 11-16. Based in Derbyshire, this mixed school is smaller than average, with around 750 students currently on roll, and provides an intimate and focused teaching style for all of their students.
Heritage High School has progressed extensively across all areas in recent years and the behaviour of their young people is a consistent strength of the school and has been graded as Good by Ofsted in each of their last 3 inspection reports. Students are at the centre of all strategic decisions Heritage High School make and they aim to continually improve the life chances for all of their young people during their time at school. Their main goal is to develop confident, resilient young people with a real desire to learn and improve.
They are housed in outstanding, recently constructed accommodation and subject areas all have high quality specialist facilities, as evidenced throughout their practical areas. The school also continue to work hard to develop their key stage 2 to 3 transition, to ensure their local key stage 2 students all see the benefits of attending Heritage High School. They also work hard to develop and maintain excellent links with local employers to ensure that all key stage 4 students understand the relevance of their learning.
