Ashfield School is one of the founding members of The Two Counties Trust and are one of our academies that welcomes both secondary and post-16 students. Ashfield School is currently the largest secondary school in the country, lying on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border and accommodating nearly 2700 students, 170 teachers and 130 support staff.
Ashfield School is a thriving and exciting school within the Two Counties Trust Family. We are very proud of their strong reputation for providing a first-class education for all of their students within their outstanding facilities. The vision for the school is to support and challenge all learners to aspire to fulfil their potential – which is something they firmly believe in and strive to achieve at all times.
Our students are taught by a team of dedicated staff, they are provided with the very best pastoral care, and they enjoy the best facilities that any school could have. These include a swimming pool, Olympic standard sports facilities, tiered-seat theatre, sprung-floor dance studio, individual music rehearsal rooms, photographic studio with dark room, and many newly-refurbished classrooms.
In addition, our bright and modern college-style Post 16 Centre is home to nearly 700 sixth form students. This space is used to provide them with lessons taught by subject-specialist teachers in smart classrooms and purpose-built vocational workshops and salons. It really is a unique school-based post 16 facility that encourages and nurtures teenagers into young adults.
