On the 8th February, 28 students and 4 staff members had the privilege of travelling to Pila in Northern Italy to partake in The Manor Academy’s annual ski/snowboard trip.
The group, led by
Miss Austin were catapulted to the peak of the mountain for 6 days straight of
winter wonderland fun.
Every day at 15:30 the students were stripped of their skis and sent on an ‘Après Ski’ mission. This included bowling, ice cream, all you can eat pizza, quiz night and the presentation evening.
Each student made sizeable progress and were rewarded with a certificate from their instructor outlining their competence and efforts. A special mention to Georgia Worboys and Kellen Hill-Smith who were praised highly by their instructor for not only their skiing accolades but for their personalities and actions. Both students received the top scholarship from their instructor and Georgia was even trusted under supervision to lead her group during a first aid incident!
The success of this trip will mean we will be running the next ski trip for years 8,9 and 10 in February 2021 and can’t wait to see the students on the mountains again!
