The Heat is on for Hospitality Students at Ashfield!

The heat is on in the professional training kitchen at Ashfield School as Year 11 students prepare for their final practical assessment; they worked hard recently preparing the following dishes:

  • Cream of sweet potato soup with a handmade spinach and ricotta ravioli
  • Spiced Chicken, tomato and pepper stew, accompanied with homemade Naan bread and vegetable pilaf rice
  • Profiteroles filled with Chantilly cream and chocolate sauce

Students were marked on their skills and cooking methods, with everything on the menu being made from scratch – from removing the bone from the chicken breast to making their own pasta!

As you can see from the pictures, the students kept their cool and produced some stunning dishes!
